Staff Correspondent: Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister, Tajul Islam said, the completion of the span of the Padma Bridge has given more hope to the people. If it is a Padma bridge, our economic alliance will increase the GDP by 1 percent.

"We predicted the GDP would be 8.2 percent, if 1 percent GDP grows and if it is 9 percent, then there will be an unprecedented change in people," he said.

He made the remarks while inaugurating a hand-washing car in front of the WASA building at Kawran Bazar in the capital on Saturday (December 12th) morning.

The Minister further said, “The country is in a stable position due to the steps taken by the Prime Minister. We hope we can deal with this situation and Bangladesh will move forward.
