'First Female Dictator' Succeeding Kim Jong Un

International Desk: She is the younger sister of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. She holds a strong position in the North Korean regime and is slowly moving towards becoming the next ruler of the country. And if it comes true then Kim's sister will be the first female dictator in the modern world.

Kim Yoo-jung, 33, is a popular figure in North Korean politics. She is also known to be ambitious and "is a trusted political figure who helps Kim maintain a positive public image when he is dealing with foreigners or South Koreans" Said Leonid Petrov, a North Korea specialist.

In the words of international analysts, Kim Jong Un's sister's position in North Korea is much like that of a 'princess'. In 2014, Yeo-jung was appointed the first deputy director of the propaganda .Then her power increases rapidly.

However, in 2016, Kim Yoo-jung caught the attention of the world. He visited South Korea as the first member of the Kim family. North Korea and South Korea jointly participated in the Winter Olympics that year.

Kim Yoo-jung has also been seen at various international conferences since then. She also accompanied Kim Jong Un in meetings with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump.

Last year, there were rumors that North Korea's top leader, Kim, had fallen seriously ill, with the country's officials citing Yoo as a possible successor to her brother as ablood relative.

In addition, the Workers' Party Congress began in Pyongyang on Tuesday. Several thousand representatives took part in it. Kim Jong Un will present a plan for the next five years at this party congress. There may also be announcements of changes in leadership. In that case, Kim Yoo Jung could be seen in a new role.
