Sale of Eid tickets starts Friday

Sun News Desk : The Bangladesh Railway will begin sale of advance tickets ahead of the holy Eid-ul-fitr from Friday.

This year all advance tickets will be sold online in order to avoid overcrowding at rail stations for tickets, and to facilitate passengers to book tickets from home in a hassle-free way.

Passengers will be able to buy the tickets from April 17 to 30.

Tickets for 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 April travels will be available on 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 April respectively.

Besides, return tickets will be on sale from April 15. The tickets for 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 April will be sold on 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 April respectively.

Passengers can purchase train tickets by using a mobile app named “Rail Sheba” alongside SMS through verification of the National Identity Card, passport and birth certificate.
