International Desk: Anti-military protests continue in Myanmar. This time the dissidents on social media urged people to join a car convoy protest on Monday. The social media activists want vehicles to drive through intersections honking horns while occupants display three-finger anti-coup salutes.
The news agency Reuters reported on Monday (March 22).
One person was killed and several others were injured in a police shooting in the Myanmar city of Monwa on Sunday, March 21, the report said. This was said by a doctor of the country in a post on social media Facebook asking for blood.
Reuters quoted a local media in Myanmar as saying that the army had tried to set up a camp at a school in Myanmar's second-largest city Mandalay. At this time the local people obstructed the work. One person was reported killed.
At least 250 people have been killed so far in anti-government protests, according to Myanmar's Center for Political Prisoner Assistance. The army seized power on February 1. Myanmar has been in a frenzy since then.
