Covid 19: Death 24, Infected 2252

Staff Reporter: In the last 24 hours, 24 more deaths have been reported across the country due to the corona virus. Among them 20 are males and 4 are females. Everyone died at the hospital. With this, the number of deaths due to corona virus has increased to 6,062.

In the last 24 hours, 15,527 samples were collected and 15,430 samples were tested in 118 laboratories. The total number of sample tests is 28 lakh 36 thousand 441. At this time, another 2,252 new corona patients have been identified. With this, the total number of identified patients in the country stands at 4 lakh 73 thousand 991 people.

In the last 24 hours, 2,572 people, including asymptomatic patients, have recovered in different hospitals and homes across the country including the capital. The total number of patients who have recovered so far is 3 lakh 90 thousand 951 people.

Compared to the sample test in the last 24 hours, the detection rate is 14.59 percent. So far, the detection rate is 16.71 percent, the recovery rate is 82.48 percent and the death rate is 1.43 percent.

The first case of corona virus infection in the country was identified on March 8. The first death from the virus occurred on March 18. So far, the total death toll is 6,772. Among them 5 thousand 178 males (76.55 percent) and 1 thousand 588 females (23. 45 percent).

Of the 24 people killed in the last 24 hours, 14 were in Dhaka division, 2 in Chittagong division, 1 in Rajshahi division, 2 in Barisal division, 1 in Sylhet division, 1 in Rangpur division and 3 in Mymensingh division.
