Covid-19 : 88 more dead

The pandemic plaguing the lives of people in Bangladesh continues its reign of terror across the country, as 88 more lose their lives due to Covid-19.

The number of deaths due to Covid-19 has been recorded in the last 24 hours until Thursday morning of July 1.

Officials of respective hospitals have reported the subsequent deaths of 22 people on Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, 16 in Tangail, 14 in Satkhira Medical College Hospital, 10 in 3 hospitals in Khulna, 8 in Mymensingh, 5 in Chittagong and 4 in Pirojpur.

45 among those who died, were Covid-19 patients, while the rest passed away showing symptoms of the virus.

Director of RMCH, Brigadier Shameem Yazdani, reported that of the 22 patients that passed away, 5 were Covid-19 patients and 17 had been showing symptoms of the virus.

At the hospital dedicate to Covid patients run under Khulna Medical College Hospital, resident medical officer Suhas Chandra Halder reported that of 8 patients, 5 died having Covid and the rest with symptoms.

Along with them, 1 Covid positive patient died in Gazi Medical College Hospital, and 1 more in Khulna General Hospital.

District civil surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi in Chittagong, declared 5 Covid patients to have died in hospitals across the district in the last 24 hours.

Tapos Kumar Sarkar, resident medical officer at Kushtia Sadar hospital reported that 9 Covid patients had passed away there in the last 24 hours.

SaMCH superintendent Kudrat-e-Khuda, reported that four Covid positive patients and 10 others having symptoms died at the Covid units of the hospital in the past 24 hours.

As the daily deaths and cases of Covid-19 continues its deadly incline, the total deaths and cases stand at 14 thousand 503, and 9 lakhs 13 thousand 258 respectively.
