COVID-19: 28 deaths in the last 24 hrs, 1846 new infections

Staff Reporter: In the last 24 hours, 28 deaths have been reported in the country due to corona virus. Among them 18 are males and 10 are females. The death toll stands at 6,350.

In the last 24 hours, 12,458 samples were collected and 12,843 samples were tested in 117 laboratories. The total number of people tested in the sample is 26 lakh 35 thousand 202.

At the same time, 1,847 new infected patients have been identified. The total number of infected patients is 4 lakh 45 thousand 281 people. 1,921 people have recovered in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of healthy patients is 3 lakh 70 thousand 352 people.

The recovery rate is 80.93 percent and the mortality rate is 1.43 percent compared to the total number of patients identified. Of the total deaths in Corona so far, 4,881 are males (76.87%) and 1,469 are females (23.13%).

According to the age-based analysis, of the 28 people who died in Corona in the last 24 hours, 1 was in the thirties, 1 in the thirties, 1 in the forties, 6 in the fifties and 19 in the sixties. According to the department, out of the 26 dead, 16 were in Dhaka division, 3 in Chittagong, 3 in Rajshahi, 2 in Khulna, 2 in Barisal, 1 in Sylhet and 1 in Rangpur.

Note that the first case of corona infection in the country was identified on March 8. The first death from the virus occurred on March 18.
