Coronavirus: 25 deaths in the last 24 hours, 1837 infected

Staff Reporter: In the last 24 hours, 25 more people have died in the country due to coronavirus infection, and the number of patients identified in the country has increased to 4 lakh 10 thousand 97 people with 1 thousand 836 new people in 1 day. On the other hand, the death toll stood at 5,096 with 25 new deaths.

According to the Department of Health, 1,971 more patients have been cured in the last one day. The total number of healthy patients has increased to 3 lakh 26 thousand 901 people. The first case of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 8, and it crossed 4 lakh on October 28. Of these, 4,019 Kovid-19 patients were identified on July 2, which is the highest in 1 day.

On March 17, 10 days after the first patient was identified, the Department of Health confirmed the first death report in the country. On October 10, it stood at 5,000. Of these, 84 deaths were reported in a single day on June 30, the highest death in a single day. The number of cases of coronavirus in the world has already exceeded 46.5 million, and the number of deaths has reached 1.2 million.

Bangladesh ranks 21st in the world in terms of Johns Hopkins University's list, and 30th in terms of death toll. According to the Department of Health, 12,791 samples have been tested in 113 labs across the country in the last 24 hours. So far, a total of 23 lakh 71 thousand 602 samples have been tested.

Considering the sample test in 24 hours, the detection rate is 13.46 percent, so far the total detection rate is 16.40 percent. The recovery rate was 79.6 percent and the death rate was 1.45 percent.
