International Desk: Canada again imposed sanctions against Russia. At this stage, 38 individuals and 16 entities are included by the sanctions. Moscow has announced to take a quick action against it.

The Canadian authorities issued the ban on Friday on charges of spreading disinformation on behalf of Russia, NDTV reported, citing the Russian news agency Ria Novosti.
The targeted individuals and entities include Russian state-owned media group MIA Rossiya Segodnya and singer Nikolai Baskov, who performed in a pro-war concert in Moscow, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

"President's war against Ukraine is based on lies and deception. Celebrities and so-called news organizations of the country are spreading this false information about Russia. They echo the words of the Kremlin and try to justify Moscow's atrocities in Ukraine," the statement said.
Canada, one of the most vocal supporters of Ukraine, has imposed sanctions against about 4,000 individuals and entities since Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.

Olega Stepanov, the Russian ambassador to Ottawa, has announced a similar response to Canada's move. He said this initiative as unfriendly behavior.
