Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader and Acting Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has pledged that the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, the party’s women’s wing, will work to eliminate rape and violence against women and children from society.
Rizvi made the remarks on Saturday ahead of a rally at Nayapaltan marking the 48th founding anniversary of the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Da
He said ensuring women’s rights requires expanding access to education and helping women become financially self-reliant.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal was build through years of sacrifice and struggle, adding that its leaders are equally capable of running the state.
The BNP leader described the Family Card programme for women as an important initiative and a “revolutionary step” toward empowering women.
“Everyone must work together to ensure the social and economic advancement of women.''
