International Desk: Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia does not plan more massive strikes against Ukraine for now and the Kremlin’s aim was not to destroy the country.

“There is no need now for massive strikes. There are other tasks. For now. And then it will be clear,” Putin told reporters on Friday following a summit of ex-Soviet nations in Kazakhstan.
Putin said that any direct clash of NATO troops with Russia would lead to a global catastrophe. I hope that those who are saying this are smart enough not to take such steps.

President Putin said, “No,” when asked if he had regrets about the conflict in Ukraine and said that Russia was doing the right thing.
At a news conference in the Kazakh capital Astana, Putin said it was not Russia’s objective to destroy Ukraine.
