BNP-BCL clash in Mirpur

Sun News Desk : The BNP leader-activists and Govt Bangla College unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) got into a clash when the party's road march arrived near the college in the capital's Mirpur.

The clash happened around 11:45am in front of the college.

Both the groups engaged in chasing each other and hurled brick chips. Later, some BNP men torched a motorcycle and a bicycle.

Police members are trying to take the situation under their control.

BNP leaders alleged that the BCL men of Bangla College attacked the party's peaceful road march when it reached near the college.

The BNP is holding road march from Gabtoli to Jatrabari to press home their one-point demand. It will end at 4pm. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir joined the march.
