International Desk: The construction work of Ayodhya mosque has started by hoisting flag , singing of the National Anthem and planting saplings on the Republic Day of India.
Members of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) Trust are building the mosque on Tuesday (January 26th). It is informed that it is being constructed on a 5-acre plot in Dhannipur village of Ayodhya, 25 km from the site allotted for the Ram temple.
Zafar Ahmed Farooqui, head of the IICF Trust, and other members arrived at the construction site on Tuesday morning. Farooqi inaugurated the program by hoisting the flag at 9:15 am local time.
In an interview to Indian media, Farooqi said the soil at the construction site had been sent for testing. Once the soil test report is released and the design of the mosque is approved, we will start the construction work.
Fundraising for the mosque has already begun.
