Prophet (PBUH) caricature ; Protest against France

Staff Correspondent: There is strong protest and condemnation all over Bangladesh against the publication of cartoons of the Holy Prophet Mohammad PBUH) in France. The protesters said, "French President Macron has hit the heart of the Muslim Ummah hard by publishing a cartoon cartoon of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)." France must apologize unconditionally for this. Faithful Muslims will retaliate by boycotting all French products in protest of this heinous act. ”

Protest rallies and mass processions were held at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram on Friday (October 30) at the initiative of like-minded Islamic parties. It was presided over by Allama Noor Hossain Qasemi, Secretary General of Jamiat Ulama Islam. Earlier, Bangladesh Nezame Islam Party held a human chain program in front of the National Press Club at 10 am on the initiative of Dhaka Metropolitan. Demonstrations were held from all mosques in the country.

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Secretary General Allama Junaid Babungari led a protest procession from Chittagong Andarkilla Shahi Jame Mosque. Speakers at the protest rally said, "Two hundred million Muslims around the world have been hurt by the display of insulting cartoons of the Prophet (PBUH) in France with the help of the state." Such anti-Islamic and anti-Muslim activities in France must be stopped. France must immediately issue a state apology to heal the wounds of the outraged Muslims. The National Assembly must pass a resolution condemning the insult to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Separately, the Bangladesh Khilafah Majlis also held nationwide protests after Jumu'ah. Islamic Movement Bangladesh has protested without banner at the call of Pir Saheb Charmonai. The National Imam Samaj Bangladesh has also staged a protest procession.
