250 Illegal shops evicted in Phulbaria

Staff Reporter: capital Phulbaria supermarkets-2 evicted 250 illegal stores of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC). Haider Ali, Regional Executive Officer (Deputy Secretary), Region-4, DSCC, said this after the operation on Tuesday (December 8) evening.

Earlier in the day, at 11:30 am, the people of DSCC faced obstacles while conducting eviction activities of more than 900 illegal shops in the A, B and C blocks of the supermarket-2 (City Plaza, Nagar Plaza and Jaker Plaza).

After that the eviction activities started from 1 pm. DSCC executive magistrate conducted eviction activities. Moniruzzaman, AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed and Tanzila Kabir Trapa.

After the eviction drive, Haider Ali said, "With the cooperation of all, we have been able to evict about 250 illegal shops today." There are many illegal installations in the basement inside the market, we will break them down in stages. We have evicted the outside as part of the process of evicting the illegal installations inside.

"As you know, the situation here was tense in the morning. We were able to carry out the eviction as per the rules and regulations, but no obstacles could stop us," he said. "Under the direction of DSCC Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, we will phase out illegal installations wherever there are."
