2 killed in two truck clash

Sun News Desk : Two people have been killed when a truck hit a broken down truck in Madaripur on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Bashir Hawladar, son of late Rashid Hawladar of Shyampur area at Bakerganj upazila in Barishal and Sujon, 25, son of Md Mizan of Bekhutia Sajalpur area under Kotwali thana in Jashore.

Police said a Dhaka-bound truck from Bakerganj had broken down in the area and its driver Bashir was repairing it. At that time, a speedy truck coming from Jashore hit the vehicle from behind, leaving Bashir and his helper Sujon injured on the spot.

Abdullah Hel Baki, Sub Inspector of Shibchar Highway Police Station, said being informed they rushed to the spot and took the injured to Shibchar Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared them dead.
