17 Remanded for 5 days in Comilla Case

Staff Correspondent: A court has remanded 17 for 5 days in a case filed by the police for vandalizing a puja mandapa and a temple in Comilla.

Judge Chandan Kanti Nath of the Comilla Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court passed the order on Wednesday (November 3rd).

Comilla court inspector Salauddin Al Mahmud said 18 accused in various cases were brought in court under tight security and remanded for 7 days.

The judge granted remand of 17 for five days.

On 13 October, a number of puja mandals in Comilla were attacked, vandalized and set on fire due to the accusation of placement of the Holy Quran in the puja mandapa on the banks of Nanuardighi.
