12 killed in car bomb attack in Myanmar

International Desk: At least 12 killed in a convoy attack in autonomous region kokanyera, Myanmar..

The bomber struck shortly after noon on Friday (February 5) en route from Lashio to Laukkai. Of these, 9 were civilians and three were policemen. News - Xinhua.

Twenty members of the Democratic Alliance Army had been ambushed, Xinhua reported. U Khin Mong's vonvoy was attacked on its way to Laukkai. Twelve people were killed on the spot and eight civilians and five policemen were injured.

Meanwhile, the Myanmar army has extended the moratorium on operations against armed groups until February 28.
