Sun News Desk : The water level of the Teesta River is flowing over the danger line as water levels in all the major rivers in the region are rising rapidly.

According to officials of the Water Development Board (WDB), the river is flowing 20cm above the danger level at Dalia Point in Nilphamari. It is learned that the water of the Teesta River has entered the lower parts of the river banks, causing floods in the area and resulting in the stranding of many families. People of five upazilas in Lalmonirhat are passing their days with flood fear.
WDB officials also said the river was flowing 20cm above the danger level and 52.35cm was recorded on Saturday morning at Hatibandha Point in Lalmonirhat.
