The ongoing depression in the Bay of Bengal has largely subsided. Since then, the tendency of rain has been decreasing in different parts of the country including Dhaka. However, the meteorological department fears that two cyclones will come next month, the deputy director of Meteorological Department Mr.Kawser Parveen made this announcement on Saturday, 24th October.
She said there is no possibility of any cyclone this month. The onset of winter will come in a few days. However, there is a risk of one or two such cyclones next month.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast said that rain is likely to be in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong, Rangpur and some parts of Sylhet division and a couple of places in Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal divisions.
Chandpur recorded the highest rainfall of 18 mm in the last 24 hours. 36 mm of rainfallhas been recorded in Dhaka at that time. However, the level of rainfall has come down in different parts of the country due to the reduction in depression
