Farooki dismisses separation rumours, calls claims baseless

Entertainment Desk

Filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has dismissed rumours of a separation from actor Nusrat Imrose Tisha, describing the reports as false and saying neither of them wishes to comment on the speculation.

Rumours about the couple’s relationship have circulated in recent days, with some reports claiming that they have been living separately.

“False news does not make an incident true. Talking about these things only encourages them. Neither Tisha nor I want to comment on this. Instead, I am working on new projects, so let’s talk about those,” Farooki said.

He added that false reports and personal attacks targeting him had been circulating for some time.

Farooki Busy with Commercial Projects
Farooki said he is currently working on three advertisements, including one for a healthcare-related product and two for construction materials.

One of the advertisements has already been shot in Dhaka, Mymensingh and South Korea.

The filmmaker visited South Korea on October 10 at the invitation of the Busan International Film Festival, where he spoke about cinema. He returned to Bangladesh on October 17 and resumed work on the commercial projects.

Two Films in Development
Alongside his advertising work, Farooki is developing scripts for two films.

The first, tentatively titled To Hell, With Love, explores a love story set somewhere between love and friendship. Farooki described the concept as an expanded map of love.

The second film will focus on contemporary political realities. However, he said the story would be emotionally heartbreaking rather than a political satire. The film's title has not yet been finalised.

Tisha Launches Production Company
Meanwhile, Tisha has launched her own production company, Fullscreen.

A drama featuring Arsh Khan and Priyanti Urbi was released on the company's YouTube channel on September 28.

Tisha could not be reached for comment despite repeated attempts to contact her by phone.

Farooki later said she was attending a meeting concerning a new international film project. He declined to disclose further details, adding that an announcement would be made once everything was finalised.
