He said food production in the country continues despite the Corona situation. Paddy production has also been very good in the last boro season. But aman production is somewhat risky due to prolonged floods. It is feared that the production will not be as expected. For all these reasons, we have noticed that mill owners, wholesalers and peddlers are involved in various conspiracies for huge profits. The government is very careful and strict about their conspiracy.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the construction of Ahmed Ali Memorial High School Flood Shelter at Dhanbari in Tangail on Sunday morning. The shelter is being constructed under the Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management's 'Flood Shelter Construction Project in Flood Prone and River Erosion Areas'.
The Minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has always been agri-friendly. Under his leadership, the adoption of agri-friendly policies of the government, subsidization of agricultural inputs including fertilizers, seeds, irrigation and improved innovation and cultivation of crops have resulted in unprecedented development in food production in the country. Even in this disaster, there has been no food crisis in the country so far. The government under the leadership of the Prime Minister has made preparations so that there is no food crisis in the future.
The goal of the government is to ensure that the people of the country do not suffer without food. Therefore, small quantity of rice will be imported if required.
