JS passed Higher Secondary Education Bill-2021 to publish HSC and equivalent results.

Staff-Reporter: The National Parliament has passed Higher Secondary Education Bill-2021 which was placed in parliament on Tuesday.The JS has passed three amendments keeping provision to publish the results of HSC and its equivalent examinations if the exams could not be held under special circumstances. As per the existing laws, there is no provision to publish the results without holding examinations.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni placed the bills during parliament session on Sunday and the bill were passed unanimously by voice vote.

The amendment bills are- Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Bill, 2021, Bangladesh Technical Education Board (Amendment) Bill, 2021 and Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board (Amendment) Bill, 2021.

Due to corona pandemic the examination of HSC and equivalent examination could not be held.So, as the amendments are passed the results will be announced soon.
The education minister said, 'It will take two days to pass the gazette. Then we will publish the results quickly.

Earlier, a seven-member technical committee was formed to for developing a method of evaluating the candidates based on their previous SSC and JSC results.
