Own Correspondent: Ansar and village defense forces are playing an important role in protecting national assets. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the government is working to make this force smarter and more modern.

She said these things at the rally of Ansar-VDP in Gazipur's Safipur on Monday (February 12) morning.

Sheikh Hasina said, Ansar and village defense forces have performed their duties very efficiently for any national need. They have played a very important role in protecting the national wealth by resisting the destructive program of BNP-Jamaat in the name of preventing elections.

She said that the government has worked for the purpose of village development. Ansar and village defense forces are cooperating.

Calling on Ansar and Village Defense Forces to fulfill their duties to protect the society from terrorism, militancy and drugs, she said, these forces will be developed smart and modern. The government is working towards that goal.

She said, a confidence has been established among the common people. Bangladesh has the ability to handle any situation. Ansar and village defense forces should be vigilant against any evil activities to protect public safety.

The Prime Minister attended the 44th rally of Bangladesh Village Defense and Ansar VDP at Safipur in Gazipur shortly after 10 am. She visited the parade in a jeep there. Go around and see the gathering of various contingents.

Various units of Ansar greeted the Prime Minister through a parade. At this time, the head of government awarded Ansar medals to 180 people of different levels for their special contribution.
