A Scout is never taken by surprise;he knows exactly what to do when anything unexpected happens. “Service” is the motto of Rovering. Today on Monday(26th October)at 8pm local time “Mask Distribution Program”has been jointly launched by Bangladesh Scouts,Messenger of Peace and BUET Alumni Association,BUETAA.
It is undoubtedly a perennial step during this epidemic. The chore of this program is Rovers will distribute masks specially designed by BUETAA initially in different parts of the capital city and later throughout the country with time.
The launching of “Mask Distribution Program” was ornamented by Dr.Mozammel Haque Khan,Chief National Commissioner,BD Scouts, special scout personnel Dr.Nizamuddin Ahmed,Chairperson,Supply Service Management National Committee,BD Scouts, Engineer Sadikul Islam Bhuiyan & Munir Ahmed of BUETAA, Jubair Eusuf,country coordinator of MOP,BD Scouts and Mohammad Atiquzzaman Ripon,National Commissionar(Program),BD Scouts as the chairperson of the launching program.
The Rovers have been advised to take precautionary measures while doing their work and all the expenses will be born by BUETAA.
It would be better to mention here that Messenger of Peace(MOP) of World Scout Movement(WOSM) aims to highlight the work of “service”by supporting scouts’ community service and encourage Scouts/Roversto build a global network of service.
