Developed Countries Competing for Vaccine Stocks!

Staff Correspondent: Middle and low-income countries are not getting along with developed countries in the race to buy Covid-19 vaccine. Many countries are acting selfishly about stockpiling vaccines. They are going to buy several times more Covid-19 vaccine than they need. That is why it is uncertain whether people in low- and middle-income countries will be vaccinated before the vaccine is fully supplied.

The underdeveloped, middle and low-income countries are lagging behind in this unhealthy competition over who will stockpile the vaccine first. Getting their vaccine is becoming increasingly uncertain. This information has come up in a recent report published by the American news media NBC.

The Pfizer Bioentech and Modern vaccines, which have recently been approved in several countries, including the United States, have not yet been approved by the World Health Organization. The competition for pre-ordering is going on before it is fully ready.

The United States, Canada, Britain and the European Union have ordered more vaccines than needed, the report said. Meanwhile, according to the People's Vaccine Alliance, only 14 percent of the world's richest people have access to the vaccine.

While many countries plan to vaccinate the public, many developed countries are planning to buy and stockpile more vaccines than they need. Unequal and discriminatory planning can hamper the delivery of vaccines around the world and the delivery of vaccines to the disadvantaged.

Winnie Beanima, executive director of the UN's AIDS control project, criticized the whole of the modern vaccine and the Pfizer-Bioentech vaccine, which will go to 96 percent of developed countries to prevent covid nineteen. Because Canada alone plans to stockpile five times more vaccines than it needs, which would allow the country's total population to be vaccinated five times. On the other hand, in low- and middle-income countries, 1 in 10 people will receive the vaccine by the end of next year. These include Myanmar, Kenya and Nigeria.

John Negasong, director of the Department of Disease Control in Africa, said the corona vaccine is far from Africa. Because even before this, developed countries have deprived Africa with almost all vaccines. Where the Corona epidemic has spread around the world, at the moment the developed countries have started selfish behavior with vaccines instead of mutual cooperation.

Earlier in September, UN Director-General Tedros Gabreasus said the rapid prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic and the global financial stability depended on the supply of the vaccine worldwide. Vaccine suppliers are giving priority to people in disadvantaged, underdeveloped, at-risk and more infected areas. But many developed countries are doing just the opposite, planning to increase unequal stocks of vaccines, risking coronary prevention plans.
