Staff Reporter: 31 more people have died in the last 24 hours after being infected with coronavirus in the country. The death toll in Corona stood at 6,838.
The Department of Health said in a press release on Sunday (December 6) afternoon. According to the notification, 1,666 people have been identified in the last 24 hours in Corona. With this, the total number of patients not identified stood at 4 lakh 77 thousand 545 people.
According to the Department of Health, 2,552 more patients have been cured in the last one day. The total number of healthy patients has increased to 3 lakh 95 thousand 960 people.
The first case of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 8. On November 24, it exceeded 4.5 million. On March 18, 10 days after the first patient was identified, the Department of Health confirmed the first death report in the country.
On July 2, 4,019 Covid-19 patients were identified, the highest in a single day.
On November 26, it exceeded 6.5 thousand. Of these, 64 deaths were reported in a single day on June 30, the highest death toll in a single day.
Bangladesh ranks 26th in the world in terms of Johns Hopkins University's list and 32nd in terms of death toll.
