British media BBC reported this information on Friday (March 15).
According to the report, 25 survivors were rescued by the ship Ocean Viking, a humanitarian organization named SOS Mediterranean.
They told the rescuers that they had left the Libyan coast of Zawiya several days ago. The dinghy's engine broke down after three days and since then the boat has been adrift at sea without food or water.

Survivors said women and at least one child were among the dead. They are believed to have died of dehydration and starvation, none drowned.
The agency also said the remaining 23 are still on board the Ocean Viking, along with more than 200 other migrants who were rescued from two other boats.

"According to the survivors, they were on the boat in distress, lost at sea for almost a week, with food and water running out very quickly," said a spokesman for SOS Mediterranean. I met a man who lost his wife and one and a half year old baby. The child died on the first day, the mother on the fourth. They came from Senegal and had been in Libya for over two years.'
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said last week that 2023 was the deadliest year for migrants since records began a decade ago. At least 8,565 people have died on migration routes worldwide this year.
