Sun News Desk: US President Joe Biden has sent a congratulatory message on the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence. In a message to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, President Biden conveyed his warmest congratulations and best wishes for the people of Bangladesh and further progress and prosperity of the country,
The US President praised Bangladesh's economic progress. Biden also noted that providing shelter to more than one million Rohingya refugees is a unique example of human rights in Bangladesh.
He also said that the United States will stand by Bangladesh in resolving the Rohingya crisis. In addition, the United States appreciates Bangladesh's commitment to work to address the climate crisis.
The letter also mentioned that the United States considers friendship with Bangladesh very important.
