Another 30 People Died in the Last 24 Hours

Staff Reporter: In the last 24 hours, 30 more people have died due to coronavirus infection across the country and another 1,037 people have been newly identified.

Among the dead were 21 men and 9 women. They all died at the hospital. The death toll from the virus rose to 6,359. During this period, 1,037 more people were identified as infected with coronavirus. With this, the total number of identified patients in the country stood at five lakh 4 thousand 868 people.

Wednesday (December 23) in the afternoon, Additional Director General of the Department of Health. This information was given in a press release signed by Nasima Sultana.

In the last 24 hours, 15,896 samples were collected in 163 laboratories and 15,932 samples were tested. The total number of sample tests stood at 31 lakh 22 thousand 426.

In the last 24 hours, 2,416 people, including asymptomatic patients, have recovered in different hospitals and homes across the country, including the capital. So far, a total of 4 lakh 44 thousand 345 people have recovered.

In the last 24 hours, the sample test rate is 8.58 percent. So far, the detection rate is 16.17 percent, the recovery rate is 88.1 percent and the mortality rate is 1.46 percent.

The first corona virus patient was identified in the country on March 8 and the first corona patient died on March 18. A total of 7,359 people have died so far due to the epidemic. Of these, 5,607 are males (76.19 percent) and 1,752 are females (23.81 percent).

The age analysis of the dead showed that out of 30 people who died in 24 hours, two were in their thirties, five in their forties, five in their fifties and 18 were in their 60s.
