24 Deaths in 24 Hours due to Covid-19

Staff Reporter: 24 people have died in the last 24 hours due to the coronavirus. The total death toll in Covid-19 stood at 7,452. This information was given in the press release sent from the health department on Sunday.

According to the press release, the total number of people infected with coronavirus in the country has increased to 5 lakh 9 thousand 148 people from 1 thousand 49 people identified till 8 am. According to the Department of Health, another 1,473 patients undergoing treatment at home and in the hospital have recovered in the last one day. So far, the total number of healthy patients has increased to 4 lakh 51 thousand 961 people.

Incidentally, the first coronavirus infection was detected in Bangladesh on March 8, it crossed 4.5 million on November 24. Of these, 4,019 Covid-19 patients were identified on July 2, which is the highest in a single day.

On March 18, 10 days after the first patient was identified, the Department of Health confirmed the first death report in the country. On 12 December it exceeded seven and a half thousand. Of these, 64 deaths were reported in a single day on June 30, the highest death toll in a single day.
