Staff reporter : Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus met with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev at the COP29 climate conference venue in Baku on Thursday. They discussed issues of mutual interest.

Earlier on Tuesday, Yunus met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan on the sidelines of the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Baku.
Erdogan invited Dr. Yunus to visit Turkey and assured Bangladesh of all possible support in its efforts to implement deep reforms and build a prosperous future. Yunus also extended an invitation to the Turkish first couple to visit Bangladesh soon.

Chief Adviser also met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu, Bosnian President Denis Becirovic, Liechtenstein Prime Minister Daniel Risch, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic, Brazil’s Environment Minister Marina Silva, and Iran’s Vice President Shina Ansari. During these meetings, Yunus exchanged pleasantries with each leader.
