Youth killed in road mishap

Sun News Desk : A passenger was killed when a truck hit auto-rickshaw in Bachila of the capital on Saturday.

The deceased was identified Salim (35) and injured were Marfia Akhter, 18, Marufa Begum, 42, Rani Begum, 40, Salma Akhter, 22 and driver Yar Hossain, 42 were injured. They were taken to Dhaka Medical.

Golap Uddin, Hazaribagh Police Station Deputy Inspector (SI), said that the dump truck hit the front of the autorickshaw on the slope of Bachila Bridge in the morning. One person was killed on the spot and five people including autorickshaw driver and passenger were injured.

He also said that the driver of the dump truck fled after the incident. However, the truck has been impounded. The process of the body for autopsy is underway.
