Temperatures are dropping,winter is coming again,

Staff Correspondent: After two -day rise in temperature, the Meteorological Department has hinted at a drop of 1 to 3 degrees.

The agency said in a forecast on Sunday (February 7th) night that the extension of the subcontinental high pressure zone is located in West Bengal and adjoining areas.

The increase in light pressure is located in West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh in the foothills of the Himalayas. And the normal light pressure of the season is in the South Bay.

In this situation, drizzle is likely in two places of Sylhet division including Comilla and Noakhali region till Monday (February 8) evening. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mostly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies. On the other hand, light to moderate fog may fall anywhere in the country from last night.

Nighttime temperatures across the country can drop by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius. And the daytime temperature may rise slightly.

At this time, the wind speed in Dhaka from north-west or north will be 8 to 12 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, the weather may change slightly by Wednesday. However, there is no significant change in the extended five days.

Teknaf recorded the highest temperature in the country on Sunday (February 7) at 29 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature recorded was 10.5 degrees Celsius in Srimangal.

There was drizzling in different parts of the country on Sunday. The highest rainfall was recorded in Khulna and Satkhira at 3 mm.
