Singapore, Romania will recruit 10,000 workers: Foreign Minister

Staff Correspondent: Singapore will take 10,000 and Romania will take 2,000 Bangladeshi workers. Foreign Minister. AK Abdul Momen told the media at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday (February 22nd).

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen is going to the United States on a bilateral visit on Monday night. He is scheduled to return to Dhaka on February 26 or 27 after a series of bilateral meeting with the US Secretary of State.

The minister said, "Bangladeshis have returned from different countries due to the covid situation, but in the meantime Singapore has informed us that they will take 10,000 workers." The minister also added,"They will take people in different sectors."

Abdul Momen said, "We have opened a new mission in Romania and from there we have been informed that the country wants to employ some people in their halal food factory." There may be employment for two thousand Bangladeshis.
