'IS does not exist in Bangladesh'

Sunnews Desk: Militants, criminals, conspirators, rumor mongers, troublemakers and religious extremists will be dealt with harshly. Wednesday (August 4) DMP Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) chief. Asaduzzaman said this.

He alleged that a selfish group was conspiring in the name of IS militants to destabilize the country by killing people. IS does not exist. The government will never allow criminals like IS to operate in the country.

The CTTC Chief said strict action would be taken if anyone tried to create anarchy in any part of the country. Following the government's 'Zero Tolerance' policy against militancy and terrorism, law enforcement agencies have been working diligently to crack down on extremists, militants and other criminals.

Asaduzzaman said the Government is cracking down on all forms of terrorism, militancy and criminal activities to maintain peace and harmony in the society. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Government is committed to establishing a safe Bangladesh for the common people by keeping the country free from heinous activities by tackling terrorism and militancy.

He said the CTTC had dismantled the militant network by applying efficient methods and through relentless operations.

He added that they have taken a tough stance against terrorism and a coordinated approach of a tough and flexible ‘smart approach’ against militants.

He said people of all religions are living peacefully in Bangladesh. Under the courageous and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh is moving forward smoothly with the goal of becoming a developed country by 2041.
