International Desk: At least 34 people have been killed in gun attack on a passenger bus in West Ethiopia. The country's national human rights body said on Sunday (November 15th).
The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) said in a statement that the attack took place in the Benishangul-Gumuz area on Saturday night. The perceived number of casualties is now 34, which is likely to rise.
A spokesman for the commission confirmed the deaths of all the victims.
The EHRC said the attack took place in the Debate administrative area. Similar attacks have been reported in three different areas. The assailant is fleeing in search of refuge.
