Fakhrul, Khasru freed from jail

Sun News Desk : BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury were released from jail on Thursday.

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan said they walked out of Keraniganj Central Jail in Dhaka around 3:45 today.

Earlier on Wednesday, Acting Judge Faisal Atiq Bin Kader of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judges' Court granted bail to them in a case filed with Ramna Police Station over the alleged attack on the residence of the chief justice.

With this, the two senior BNP leaders got bail in all cases filed over the incident.

Eleven cases were filed against Mirza Fakhrul and 10 against Amir Khasru over the clashes between police and BNP men and alleged attacks on different establishments, including the residence of the chief justice, around BNP's October 28 grand rally in the capital's Nayapaltan area.
