Entertainment Desk: An FIR has been registered against Arbaaz and Sohail Khan, two brothers of Bollywood producer-actor and superstar Salman Khan, for violating quarantine rules. The case has been filed against them by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The case was filed under sections 18 and 269 of the Indian Penal Code at Khar police station in Mumbai on Monday (January 4th). Complaints against these two stars are that they have violated the norms of compulsory quarantine. Similar allegations have been made against Sohail Khan's son Nirban Khan.
According to BMC, the trio returned to India from the United Arab Emirates on December 25. According to the Covid-19 rule, they were supposed to be in compulsory quarantine for seven days. But they diclined .
The complaint mentioned that, after returning from Dubai on December 25 2020, Arbaaz, Sohail and Nirvaan informed theairport authority that they would stay in isolation for seven days at a luxury hotel in Bandra. But on December 27 they returned home. Then the case was filed.
Although Sohail Khan said that he and Arbaaz returned to the country on December 25, his son came on the 30th. They also had a corona test at the airport. They returned home from quarantine as the report was negative.
BMC has sent all three to institutioal quarantine at TajLands End Hotel and instructed that they will have to complete a quarantine period. Afet that RT PCR test will be done. BMC also makes it clear that they the three will bear all the cost of stay and tests.
