Education loan is being considered

‘Education loans can be given to students to continue their education easily. I told Parliament that the Prime Minister nodded in agreement. We are thinking of giving education loan. We are working on these issues. We want the students not to be discriminated against in any way, ”said Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni.

He made the remarks at an online discussion titled 'Coronacle e-learning' organized by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) on Saturday (September 12th). Professor Osama Khan, Vice-Chancellor, University of Surrey, UK, presented the keynote address at the e-Learning webinar. DCCI President Shams Mahmood gave a welcome speech on the occasion.

The Education Minister said, "Our current education policy was formulated in 2010 and it has been modernized and reformed. E-learning will be given more importance in education policy. In the coming days, in addition to conducting direct teaching activities in the classroom, e-learning activities should be continued through online. E-learning activities will play an important role in developing students' skills in new subjects.

He further said that in order to bring meritorious people in the curriculum, the teaching profession needs to be made more attractive and teachers need to be made more efficient through training. Universities need to conduct more research.

He also spoke in the discussion-National University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Harun-ur-Rashid, Vice Chancellor of the American International University, Professor. Carmen Z. Lamanna, Chairman of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board. Md. Morad Hossain Mollah and others.
