Own Correspondent: Capital Dhaka ranks fourth among 100 cities in the world with unhealthy air in the list of air pollution.

IQAir, a Switzerland-based company, regularly highlights the situation of air pollution. Dhaka's score on IQAir's air quality index was 170 on Thursday (March 7) morning. This air quality is considered unhealthy. Dhaka's score was 157 on Wednesday (March 6).
Built on air quality, the live or instant IQAir index alerts people with information about how clean or polluted the air is in a particular city.

IQAir advised the residents of Dhaka today that they must wear masks when going out. Exercise cannot be done outside the house. Besides, it is advised to keep the windows of the house closed to avoid pollution.
A score of 51-100 on the IQAir index is considered moderate or acceptable air quality. A score of 101-150 is considered unhealthy for sensitive groups.

A score of 151-200 indicates unhealthy air and a score of 201-300 indicates very unhealthy air. A score above 301 is considered catastrophic or risky. Air pollution is high in 3 places of Dhaka today, said IQAir. Places - Buet Central Road, US Embassy in Dhaka and Aga Khan Academy.
