Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has declared a state of emergency in the country. He made the announcement in a televised statement on Sunday (December 12th) evening. Boris Johnson said: 'A wave of Omicron is coming. And no one should have any doubts about it. To prevent this, ticker booster doses will be given to everyone over the age of 18 in England from this week.

Just hours before the British prime minister's statement, Corona's warning signal was raised in the UK. Level four means high or increasing transmission of the corona. The latest alert in the country was in May.

Boris Johnson said: "I'm afraid we're in a state of emergency now with the new variant Omicron. It is now clear that just two doses of the vaccine are not enough to protect us all.
