Corona Attack in West Indies squad : Romerio Shepherd missing Bangladesh tour

ports Desk: Before the West Indies arrival in Bangladesh, Guinea's right-arm bowler Romario Shepherd has tested positive for Covid 19 virus. He has been replaced with Keon Harding.in the one day squad of West Indies."Shepherd will remain in Guyana where he is undergoing a period of isolation that unfortunately will extend beyond the team travel date," said Cricket West Indies in a statement.

It is a further blow for West Indies as10 playeers including Jason Holder and Kieron Pollard, the test captain and limited over skipper repectively, pulled out of the tour as they chose not to travel during pandemic.

First bowler Harding, yet to make his debut for West Indies, is a 24 player from Barbados. he has plaued 17 first class matches in which he has returned 54 wickets.

West Indiesis is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Sunday will play three one-day internationals and two Tests in Bangladesh. The first ODI is in January. 22 January and 25 January will be other two ODIs. Two matches of the Test series will start on 3 and 11 February.

Craig Brathwaite's side underwent test on Thursday before touring in Bangladesh. The CWI said all others returned negative results.
