'Concert for Bangladesh' to be held again

Entertainment Desk: 'Concert for Bangladesh' was held at Madison Square Garden in New York, USA during the War of Independence of Bangladesh. Through this concert, the international arena was informed about the liberation war of Bangladesh and the crisis of East Pakistan at that time.

George Harrison, one of the Beatles' vocalists, was the main organizer of the concert on August 1, 1971. Ravi Shankar was with him. Even after listening to George Harrison's last song 'Bangladesh, Bangladesh' a hundred times in that concert, the memory of the great liberation war still lingers in the hearts of millions.

According to a report in Indian media G News, this time India is going to re-organize 'Concert for Bangladesh' on the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence. Its main objective was to raise awareness in the international arena about the events of the liberation war of Bangladesh and the refugee problem in East Pakistan during the war. India is going to host the concert again on the golden jubilee of independence.

According to media reports, the concert will be organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCRL) of India on the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence. It will be led by George Harrison's son Dhyani Harrison and Ravi Shankar's daughter Anushka Shankar.

Ustad Ali Akbar Khan was also on the stage with Pandit Ravi Shankar at the 'Concert for Bangladesh' at Madison Square Garden. The famous Allarakha collaborated on tabla and Kamala Chakraborty was in Tanpura.
