1) Conjunctivitis

It is one of the most common eye diseases in children, also known as "Pink Eye". In addition, the eyes are constantly dripping water and yellow-green substance is excreted from the eyes. These problems are caused by burning and swelling in the conjunctiva outside the eyes. Bacteria or viruses are mainly responsible for this. It is contagious and antibiotics are used to treat it.

2) Anjali
Anjali is a cocoon-like rash on the eyelids. This problem occurs when the sweat glands of the eyes become infected. The disease can affect anyone from children to the elderly. Bacteria called Staphylococcus aureus are responsible for this disease. It usually goes away in 2-3 weeks. However, the baby's eyes can be wiped with a cloth soaked in lukewarm water.

3) Closed lacrimal
The lacrimal glands of the eyes are very important for the eyes because tears keep the eyes clean. Some babies are born with this gland closed. This is not good at all, because it is the beginning of all eye problems. When you massage the eyes with a soft cloth soaked in a little hot water, the lacrimal glands remain active and cleans the eyes by itself. If the problem persists even after the age of 1 year, do not forget to consult a doctor.

4) Totosis
Often seen in the child's eyelids are not opening properly this is called totosis. In addition, in many cases the eyeball is not in the correct position so the eyes are tilted. Which can be seen until the baby is 4 months old. If it is longer than this an ophthalmologist should be consulted.

5) Visual problems
Children aged 6-7 weeks can easily see any person or object very well. But with the exception of this, it must be understood that he is having trouble seeing. Usually this problem disappears by the age of 3 months, the child's eyesight becomes normal. However, if the problem persists after this time, the child should be taken to an eye doctor immediately.
