International Desk: The government of the United States with 288 electoral votes, was elected the 46th president of the Democratic presidential candidate Joseph. Biden. His rival, incumbent President Donald Trump, received 222 electoral votes.

Under US law, 270 electoral votes are required to become president. Biden surpassed the 270 required by California vote certification. Biden now has only the certification to vote in the states of New Jersey and Hawaii. Adding 14 votes from New Jersey and 4 from Hawaii, Biden's total electoral vote would stand at 308.

Meanwhile, President Trump's only other state, Missouri, has 10 votes left to be certified. Once the Missouri vote is attested, the president's 232 electoral votes will be completed.

According to federal law, the deadline for issuing state certification is December 8. According to US rules, Joseph Biden will be sworn in as US President on January 20 next year.
