The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has sought the bank account details of content creator Salman Muqtadir.

The anti-money laundering agency sent letters to all commercial banks and financial institutions in the country on Wednesday, asking them to provide detailed information on accounts held in his name.

Several bank officials confirmed receiving the letters.

According to the letters, the banks have been asked to provide account details, account opening forms, Know Your Customer documents and transaction statements from the opening of the accounts to the present, along with other relevant documents.

The request comes days after unidentified people attacked, vandalised and looted Salman Muqtadir’s production facility, ‘Brown Fish’ studio, on Saturday night.

However, it could not be immediately confirmed whether the BFIU’s request for the bank account information was related to the incident.
