The incident took place on Friday (March 8) during the relief drop at Al Shati refugee camp. The US news media reported the information on CNN.

Journalist Khader Al Zainah, who was present at the scene, told CNN that these reliefs were dropped from the plane. However, he could not say for sure which country's plane it was.

Al-Shifa Hospital Emergency Department Head Mohammad Al-Sheikh confirmed the death of 5 people and said that some of the injured were referred to Al-Shifa Hospital in serious condition.

Incidentally, the Gazans are on the brink of famine due to the brutality of the occupying Israelis. For the past few days, other countries including the United States have been dropping relief from airplanes to help them.

After the directive of the US President Joe Biden, the United States dropped 38,000 packets of food aid to Gaza for the first time by air. At this time, Jordan also cooperated with them.

However, according to Gaza charities, this relief is nothing compared to the number of people who are starving.

Richard Gowan, director of the UN's International Crisis Group, said aid workers complained that airdrops of relief were a great photo opportunity. But sending relief in this way is very bad.

It should be noted that Israel has continuously attacked Gaza for the past 6 months. The common people there have lost their homes and become refugees. Due to the ongoing situation, they are facing food shortage. Source: CNN
