Special Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed to build roads by saving marshland. He said, "We have to take care that the water flow is not disrupted in any way due to the road."
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave some such instructions while approving the project at the ECNEC meeting on Tuesday (October 28th).
The Prime Minister said, “Adequate bridges, culverts and water supply should be provided. In any case, if necessary, the road has to be turned to and from. In particular, the marshlands must be kept alive. Because these are our life lines, they protect the groundwater level, they supply water in different ways. Roads have to be built while maintaining natural balance. ”

Highlighting the Prime Minister's instructions in this regard, the Secretary of the Planning Department said, “This project is very important. It's a matter of history, the first road in three countries. When Sheikh Hasina first became the Prime Minister, it was designed and started. It is the only road in Bangladesh where there is a side lane for slow moving vehicles. In this regard, he (Prime Minister) has instructed, while constructing the road, care should be taken so that water flow is not disrupted in any way.
“The project was delayed due to lawsuits. Whenever there is a case, the enterprising ministry should take immediate action so that the implementation of the project is not hampered in any way, ”the secretary said.
Asadul Islam said, “It is seen that many secretaries or officials are transferred during the time it takes to implement the project. The Prime Minister directed that there should be no gap in the implementation of the project due to this transfer. For those who will be there and those who are new, an orientation should be informed so that no gap is created”
