Go easy with your lungs

Sun Health Desk:

The organ lung is firstly affected by the Corona. It was “international lung day” on 25th September. Let us have a look how we can take care of our lungs during this tough time.

1. Do light physical exercise and walk regularly.

2. Use the mask outside.

3. Avoid dust and smoke as much as possible.

4. Have vegies and fruits enriched in Vitamin A.

The following exercise can be done to increase the flow of oxygen in the lungs.

  1. Inhale with the nostrils.
  2. Slowly exhale with the mouth.
  3. Sit in “Padmashon” with hands straight.
  4. Keep the backbone straight.
  5. Keep one nostril closed pressing with finger and inhale through the other one.
  6. Do the vice versa.
  7. Start with 10 times initially and increase slowly.

Try to do this exercise twice a day. If you face breathing problem please do not miss to consult with a physician.
